Take A Walk
With BUDS |

Our Huntsville group BUDS, will be hosting our
9th annual Buddy
Walk on Saturday, Sept 24h. The walk will take place at Joe
Davis Stadium in Huntsville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal of
the Buddy Walk is to promote acceptance and inclusion of people
with Down syndrome. The funds raised at the walk will allow BUDS
to continue their efforts to support and educate families about
Down syndrome, and also reach out to the North Alabama community. The walk will include a
"Chinese Auction" of items such as various gift baskets and gift
certificates. Tickets for the auction are $1 each, or you can
purchase a sheet of 25 tickets for $20. There will be
games and a puppet show for kids, music, lunch and much more so
stay tuned! The walk and lunch are free, however, donations are
greatly appreciated.
There were over 500 participants at the walk last year, and BUDS
is hoping for an even bigger crowd this year. So mark your
calendars and please spread the word to support BUDS and all of
the families touched by Down syndrome.
Also, if you know of any groups/people that would like to
volunteer, please let us know as we can always use the help!
